Comments: American films are tiresome because our actors, who are great, are more important than the story, than the directing, than anything else in the movie. I have to look for foreign films to get into a film, instead of seeing what Streep, or Cage, or Deniro can do in their latest film. Imagination is too tighly woven around the dollar, the best films are probably the ones we'll never see. Breaking Waves was the last good film I've seen.

Comments: The best I've seen lately in this area, where good films are hard to find, is Shall We Dance. The worst is Contact, a phony formula-plot in which everything is predictable. If you care- and I don't know why you should -I like a picture that leaves me with something to think and talk about, unless it's about how lousy the picture was. The reason I'm at your site: I've found British films, on average, superior to Hollywood's. (Prehaps you send your better work here. What do you think?)

Comments: I like dramas and action films. I truly believe that in the movies today there are far too many sexual scenes. I mean you can get an PG movie and its pretty action packed and then all of a sudden BAM! here comes the sex scenes. It really bothers me a lot when I am looking at a movie with my 16 old son and have to fast forward to avoid those scenes.

Comments: Great site. Very Informative. I enjoyed it. Only thing I see needs surface are your critics review of Star Wars. It is pretty harsh. saying the Star Wars actor/character's are hollow is way off. Either the reviewer is asleep or not paying attention to the character other then special effects - or he really hates the movie and just gives the movie a four star just to protect himself. I bet you no one in America remember any of the Academy Award character of Gandhi or Chariots of Fire! - According to the Four stars reflected on the review the reviews didn't back it up. Star Wars character is all the opposite of the reviewers mention statement. They ARE the reason why the movie last so long! even today no movie has ever mach it in popularity. Vader' voice was superb and the screening time was just right - do expect the movie to be 3 hours long? We know allot about the rest of the characters - Luke an orphan, a farm boy, sun of a legend night, etc. . . What is your favorite movie? Whatever it may be I bet they're [characters] history don't stand up to that of Star Wars ? Star Wars is a fine example of character devolopement. And the Star Wars movie in whole is the best movie ever made. It's 8.5 million dollar budget will let any doubter know that George Lucas is a cinema genius! Who else could pull it off? All in all the rest of your site is pretty enjoyable - Keep up the good work.
Best wishes, - Don.
